At The Grove, onboarding new team members isn’t just about teaching the basics—it’s about setting them up for success.
Training is everyone’s responsibility—new hires learn by watching you, so it’s important that we lead by example and teach them the right way from day one.
Why It Matters:
New team members absorb everything—good habits and bad!
Strong training leads to a strong team—the better they learn, the smoother things run for everyone.
A great start means fewer mistakes, less confusion, and happier guests.
Who This Applies To:
Everyone! Training is a team effort, and every department plays a role in onboarding.
Managers & senior team members provide additional guidance and ensure new hires are set up for success.
Your Role as a Team Member:
✅ Lead by Example – New hires will do what you do. If you cut corners, so will they.
✅ Teach the Right Habits from Day One – Don’t just show them how to do something—explain why it matters.
✅ Be Patient & Supportive – Everyone learns at their own pace. Encourage questions and help when needed.
✅ Correct Mistakes Early – If you notice bad habits forming, fix them before they become routine.
✅ Keep Things Positive – Make new team members feel welcome—a good first impression makes all the difference!
THE ONBOARDING PROCESS
At The Grove, onboarding isn’t just about learning the job—it’s about becoming part of the team. First impressions matter, and we want every new team member to feel supported, confident, and set up for success.
Training will be structured but fun, with each day outlined and covering key objectives. Trainers and Trainees will follow an onboarding checklist, ensuring new hires get the full experience while keeping leadership in the loop with end-of-shift reports.
And above all, we welcome, welcome, welcome every new team member—because feeling like a Cool Kid from day one makes all the difference!
FINAL NOTES FOR THE TEAM:
✅ We are ALL responsible for training new hires—lead by example!
✅ A strong start means a strong team—let’s set them up for success.
✅ Encourage, correct, and support—teamwork makes the dream work!
✅ Keep it fun, because that's our CULTURE CODE!
Let’s keep building an awesome, well-trained, and confident team! 🚀
