At The Grove, we do more than check guests in—we set them up for an unforgettable stay. Our FAVOURITES' LISTS are the perfect tool to personalize the guest experience, give them insider tips, and create WOW! moments that make them feel like they’re getting VIP treatment.
We have carefully curated lists, covering the best spots for food, drinks, shopping, history, dog-friendly spots and more. Knowing which list to offer—and when—is key to making it feel personal.

Personalized recommendations = happier guests and stronger reviews.
Guests trust our local insights more than a Google search!
Encourages guests to explore the area, support local businesses, and make the most of their stay.

Front Desk Team – Primary team members responsible for handing out lists at check-in.
Any team member interacting with guests who may ask for local recommendations.
Your Role as a Team Member:
✅ Offer a Top Ten List at Check-In – Don’t wait for guests to ask! Use these lists as a way to enhance their stay from the start. (Example: “Are you a wine lover? We’ve got a great list of our favorite wineries!”)
✅ Match the Right List to the Right Guest –
🍽 Restaurant Favs – If they ask for a great place to eat. (“What kind of food do you love?” helps narrow it down to give specific recommendations from the list!)
🍷 Winery Favs – If they’re here for wine country or mention winery tours.
🍾 Brews + Bottles Favs – If they’re interested in local breweries or craft cocktails.
🛍 Shopping Favs – If they ask about boutiques, unique finds, or local markets.
🏛 History Favs – If they mention an interest in local history or sightseeing.
🐾 Furry Friend Favs – If they brought their pup and need pet-friendly places.
🏪 Market Favs – If they’re looking for fresh produce, artisan goods, or far

✅ Use It as a Conversation Starter –
Show excitement when handing out a list. Personal recommendations feel more special!
If they seem indecisive, offer a few suggestions from the list to get them excited. Know your own favourites and recommend those - it doesn't get more personal than that!

Printed copies should be available at the Front Desk at all times.
If we’re running low, reprint (they are available on DROPBOX, Hotel|Motel).
✅ Encourage Digital Exploration –
Each list directs guests to TheGrove.Rocks/Blog where they can find even more details.
Mention this if they prefer a digital version - which works very well as it provides links to each location so they can do a little research on their own!
✅ Stay Up to Date –
These lists evolve! If you hear guests raving about a new spot, let us know so we can update the lists.
